When shopping for eyeshadows I like to look for colors that I think I might wear; therefore, I also consider if the palette has a bit of matte or shimmer before purchase. The Juvia’s Place Warrior Eyeshadow Palette consists of golds, bronzes and browns. This palette is very much neutral with matte and shimmer shades. Although, it is similar to the Nubian palette it is edgier. Born and raised in Nigeria the founder of Juvia’s Palette has improvised ways to share her cultural background by showing them off on makeup palettes. This includes the wide range diversity of the African tribes such as their style and beautiful accessories. As a result, this can be seen by looking at the artwork of each palette and blush and the color selection.
Juvia’s Place Warrior Eyeshadow Palette Review
The packaging was inspired by the Dahomey Amazon Warriors, an all female military regiment in the 19th century. They fought for the Kingdom of Dahomey and are known for the swift decapitation of heads. They are the most feared warriors in history that left the European Colonizers shaking in their boots. This bronzed goddess palette shows the bronzed goddess centered and the golden goddess left and right. The palette is very compact which makes it easy to slip into a handbag/hand luggage for easy travel. It has a magnetic lid closure that snaps closed easily. The cardboard package; however, it is durable and made to last. Keep in a dry place.
The Warrior Eyeshadow Palette has 9 pigmented and vivid colors. While six of the shadows have a foiled shimmer finish; they are also metallic. The other three shades have a matte finish and they are very creamy and soft to the touch. With this versatile palette; the foiled shimmer shades can be used as a highlighter and the mattes as base/transitioning shades. The eyeshadows can be used wet or dry and can be easily applied with a brush or even the tip of your fingers.
